Reclaimed Granite Curbing
Granite was used for many things during the late 1800's until present. One form was granite curb used in the city streets all over the country because of its availability and wearability.
Our selection of granite curbing varies by generation starting with the earliest being first generation which was hand chiseled on top and split on the bottom. Second generation granite curbing was cut on top with a wire saw giving it very distinct marks and also split on the bottom. Third generation granite was sawn on the top with a split bottom and fourth was sawn on top and bottom as it is today.
Our first generation curbing is by far the most popular due to the age and coloration. Reclaimed granite curbing has many uses, most popular is either as pavers or steps. Obviously it can again be used for curbing, retaining walls, etc. We can provide reclaimed granite curbing in any length up to approximately 8' long, occasionally we get some even longer.
